Call for Scripts and Proposals
The Conference Management Committee is calling for scripts and proposals for the 8th Women Playwrights International Conference to be held in Mumbai, India 1st-7th November 2009.
The theme of the Conference is Liberty and Tolerance. The list of sub-themes and workshop titles, along with further details of program content and structure, can be found on the WPI site under CONFERENCE and PEOPLE. (Click on url at the bottom of this email)
The Conference Committee is inviting submissions for readings, presentations, and performances, which will fit the following sub-themes:
1.Identity, Culture and Diversity.
2.Non-violence a way of living.
3.Challenges of patriarchy.
4.Role of Theatre in the Socio-Political World.
5.Humour in Theatre.
Please send a copy of your script, a one page synopsis, short biography and production history if any. If you are sending a work in progress, please also include a synopsis with your copy of your script, and any workshop history or readings plus bio.
